Nick Marino Jr., originally from Garland, TX, and a current resident of Plano, focuses on making an everlasting impact in his city and communities around the country. For the past decade, Nick has led efforts to unite thousands of people to create a local effect. Nick founded the organization Tango Charities, which produces the event Feed The City, which has become one of the most inclusive and diverse volunteering opportunities ever seen. Nick’s efforts have resulted in over 1,600 events hosted in 5 countries, 14 states, and 67 cities, bringing together over 100,000 volunteers and providing over 7 million meals to people in need.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions, Nick was honored with the prestigious 2023 NCAA Legends and Legacy Community Award, a distinction shared with luminaries such as the legendary Pro Basketball Hall of Famer, Nancy Leiberman, and the esteemed Grandmother of Juneteenth, Miss Opal Lee. This recognition underscores Nick's unparalleled commitment to fostering positive change in communities worldwide. In 2024, Nick also received the Marketing Maverick Award from the American Marketing Association.

In August 2024, Nick joined the Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT) to lead the Center for Business Impact, where his team oversees the distribution of over $10M annually from their member businesses. The Center for Business Impact is a central resource for companies looking to empower their employees and contribute to a thriving, equitable community. Building on the foundation laid by CFT's previous programs, including the CFT for Business and Entrepreneurs for North Texas, the Center offers comprehensive services to help businesses of all sizes maximize their social impact. These services include grantmaking, employee volunteer opportunities, philanthropic training, board placement, and internship facilitation. Additionally, the Center provides guidance in corporate social responsibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as environmental, social, and governance programs, aiming to create lasting community impact through business engagement.

Before his role at the Communities Foundation of Texas, Nick was part of the founding team and, for over six years, was the Senior Director of Marketing at Curis Functional Health, which has been named in the top 7% of the fastest-growing companies in America for the past three years in the Inc. 5000. Under Nick’s marketing leadership the company grew from one location in North Dallas to 60+ locations, spanning 11 states. Nick remains a partner in Curis to this day.

In 2016, Nick co-founded Revolving Mind, a Dallas-based marketing agency working with brands as a full-service agency and athletes on their marketing and endorsement deals. Over the years RM has worked with mainstream brands such as Lyft, Manic Panic, RideNow, and more. Revolving Mind over the years has become known in the industry to help take startups to mid-market companies such as iCRYO, The Catch, CBD Kratom, and POWERHANDZ. In the athlete community they have become known for their annual Beyond The Game events that educates athletes about opportunities outside of sports in all different areas of business. These events sparked the creation of their platform, Next Play that will launch in 2025 into Universitiy and Collegiate athletic programs.

Prior to Curis and Revolving Mind, Nick was part of the original team of TangoTab, a mobile app that launched in the U.S. in 2012 to help eradicate hunger with a unique one-for-one model that provided over 3.5 million meals into communities around the country. In 2019 the app launched in Singapore. Unfortunately, due to the COVID pandemic, TangoTab ceased operations in early 2021. Nick has continued the work TangoTab started outside of the app as the Volunteer Executive Director of TangoTab Charities (mentioned previously).

Looking ahead to 2025, Nick is set to launch the inaugural installment of his groundbreaking children's book series, "Nico Makes A Difference." These heartwarming stories are designed to empower children aged eight and under and teach them how to make a meaningful impact in their communities from a tender age.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Nick is married to his wife Amber and recently welcomed their daughter Aria this past October to their family, which includes their Goldendoodle, Nala. Nick's life's purpose is profound: to craft avenues for individuals to engage in acts of benevolence and live with a resounding sense of purpose. His journey is an inspiring testament to the transformative power of dedication and compassion.
