THIS, IS MY STORY
Nick is a social entrepreneur, philanthropist, and a lover of life. People say he is, "contagiously infected with enthusiasm and passion," because of all of the energy he has.
A LITTLE BACKGROUND
Nick was born and raised in Garland, TX (right outside of Dallas) by his parents, who are from New York City. Specifically, his mom is from Brooklyn, and his dad is from Manhattan. The mix of parents from the northeast and growing up in the south made for a unique childhood. In life, Nick was not raised with a silver spoon in his mouth; but rather a wooden one and was fed well. There were hard times, and there were great times, but at the end of the day, his parents instilled in him love, kindness, and generosity.
HUNGRY FOR CHANGE
In 2016 Nick was named as a Top Texan Under 30. His primary focus is on making an everlasting impact in his community through the work that he does. As the Director of Social Change at TangoTab, a company that focused on eradicating hunger, Nick led efforts to help feed over 3 million people in need. TangoTab was a free mobile app that works with over 100,000 restaurants across the country. Every time an individual used the app, they earn reward points, and TangoTab would feed a person in need, in that city.
In 2020, TangoTab took a big hit (similar to the restaurant) from the Pandemic. Since then, Nick launched Tango Charities which is the charity arm of TangoTab. Tango Charities now leads efforts such as Feed The City, Cultivate Garden Programs, School Food Programs, and more.
To date, both entities have helped feed over 6 MILLION PEOPLE IN NEED. Feed The City events in the past 8 years have happened in 5 countries, 11 states, 57 cities and over 90,000 volunteers have participated.
nick MEANs BUSINESS
On top of his work fighting Hunger, Nick is the founded That's Just Good. This company was launched in October of 2020 and produces cause-driven team-building events for small, medium, and large companies. In the past 18 months, That's Just Good has worked with local law firms, AT&T, Walmart, Hilton, Deloitte, and more.
Prior to starting That's Just Good, Nick started Revolving Mind Media in 2016. In 2010 Nick started the blog, The Revolving Mind. After leaving a career in the corporate world, Nick transformed his blog into a business. In 2016 Nick and Aaron turned Revolving Mind Media into a marketing powerhouse that works with professional athletes, local startups, and national accounts to expand their brand through advertising and marketing. Since then, the two have launched Revolving Mind Investments and Revolving Mind Events.
Through Revolving Mind Investments, Nick is an equity owner and investor in POWERHANDZ (one of the fastest-growing athletic training products in the U.S.), The Catch Seafood in Restaurant, and iCRYO (the fastest-growing cryotherapy chain in the U.S.).
